The house edge varies depending on the number of decks in the game. For a single deck it is 3.1%, but when six packs are used in the game the house edge falls to just 2.8%
HOW TO PLAY RED DOG
A little luck never hurt in this game of chance, there are two cards that are dealt and the player must decide whether the next card that is dealt will fall between the value of the first 2 cards that were dealt. Card values are the same as poker and the Ace is the highest card.
You have to decide the amount that you will bet before the cards are dealt. Depending on the cards that are then dealt there are several things that can happen:
- If the two cards the same (eg two K) then a third card is dealt. If it is the same again (K) you win 11:1 on your initial bet. If the third is not the same it is a push (the bets are returned)
- If the two cards are consecutively valued (9-10) it is not possible for the third card to fall between the two, so the game is considered a push and bets are returned
- If there is a spread between the first two cards, you can choose to raise your initial bet. If the third card is valued between the first two cards you win the hand.
